Only covers vet treatment for accidents and third party public liability. Will pay for vet treatment for accidents up to £2,000 per incident per year with no time limit for the lifetime of the policy, subject to an overall maximum of £10,000 per incident. Fixed excess is only £60. You have to pay 15% of vet fees for pets over 8 years old. Maximum benefit of £500 per year for treatment of cruciate ligament injuries. Maximum benefit of £500 per year for CT/MRI scans. Will not pay for conditions caused by your pet being overweight.
The following complementary medicine is covered Physiotherapy Hydrotherapy Acupuncture Homeopathic or herbal medicines. The cover limit for complementary therapy is £500. This is included within your vet fees limit.
The vet fees excess is £60 per accident per policy period. A contribution of 15% will be required for vet fees claims for pets aged 8 or over. The excess for third party liability claims is £250.
You cannot obtain new policies for pets over the age of 10. A contribution of 15% will be required for vet fees claims for pets aged 8 or over. If your pet dies from illness you will only be able to claim a death benefit payment if they were under 8 years old on the last renewal date.
