Pet Protect

Pet Protect Ltd is a subsidiary of Pethealth Inc. which is described on their website as "an international group that specialises in pet insurance and pet care services to veterinarians, rescue centres and pet owners."

Pet Protect was launched in 1983 to help pet owners fund the cost of veterinary care.

Petpals polices are underwritten by QBE Insurance (Europe) which is part of QBE Insurance Group, who describe themselves as one of the world's leading insurers who were founded in 1886 and are based in Sydney, Australia.

Pet Insurance Policies

Pet Protect offer a choice of two lifetime annual benefit policies.

Note that you will have to pay a percentage of the costs for pets over ONE year old.

You pay 10% for pets between 1 and 4 years old and 20% for pets over 5 years old.

The fixed excess also increases from £75 to £100 for pets more than 5 years old.

Although these policies offer the normal range of benefits some of these are with lower than average cover levels.
