NCI Pet Insurance
NCI Pet Insurance is part of NCI Vehicle Rescue Plc which was founded in 2000 and is now a public limited company offering a range of personal insurance.
NCI Pet Insurance is underwritten by Elite Insurance Company who have their head office in Gibralter.
According to Elite's website they began trading in 2006, have grown rapidly, and now see themselves as one of Europe's leading insurers.
NCI Pet Insurance created and managed Cover4Pets which was linked with the Vet4Pets chain of vet practices.
In April 2013 Vets4Pets was acquired by Pets at Home and NCI then took over the Cover4Pets insurance business. These policies were in August 2014 renamed NCI Pet Insurance.
NCI also reached an agreement with AXA Pet Insurance to take over their policies when they withdrew from the pet insurance market. This was effected on 1 September 2014Important Information for AXA Policyholders >>
Pet Insurance Policies
NCI Pet Insurance offer a choice of three pet insurance policies, a 12 month policy and two lifetime policies.
You have to pay 10% of vet fees for pets over 10 years old. (Most policies apply older pets terms for pets aged 8 or over).
Note that policyholders transferring from AXA will be offered a different policy which is the Life Plus policy
