Healthy Pets is an independent specialist insurance company which has been in business since 1996.

Their policies are underwritten by Great Lakes Reinsurance UK.

Great Lakes Reinsurance UK Plc according to their website is based in London and is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.

Claims are administered by Ultimate Pet Partners which is an appointed representative for Ultimate Insurance Solutions Ltd.

Pet Insurance Policies

Healthy Pets offer four policies - an accident policy and three maximum condition benefit policies with different cover levels.

They do not offer any lifetime annual benefit policies.

Policies will pay for diet food for up to 4 weeks for a specific condition (max £100)

All policies have limits on how much you can claim for cruciate ligament injuries and CT/MRI scans.

Once your pet reaches 5 years old you will have to pay 15% of vet fees. Then you have to pay 20% of vet fees from aged 6. (This is younger than average.. most other companies who apply different terms for older pets do so from about 8 years).
