Only covers vet fees and third party liability. You have to pay 20% of vet fees for pets over 6 years old. Maximum benefit of £250 per year for CT/MRI scans. Maximum benefit of £500 per year for cruciate ligaments. Will not pay for conditions caused by your pet being overweight. Will only pay for out of hours consultations where your pet was suffering from a life-endangering condition or your vet can confirm in writing that it was essential and not to have done so would have seriously worsened your pets condition.
The following complementary medicine is covered Physiotherapy Hydrotherapy Acupuncture Homeopathic or herbal medicines. Laser treatment. The cover limit for complementary therapy is £200 and this comes out of your vet fees cover limit.
The vet fees excess is £100 per condition per policy period. A contribution of 20% will be required for vet fees claims for pets aged 6 or over. The excess for third party liability claims is £250.
